Who funds FLISP?

The National Housing Finance Corporation (NHFC) distributes funds to qualified applicants, according to the budget granted them by the government.

The subsidy was established by the government to help low to middle income households (

R3 501 — R22 000) repay their home loan.

These people generally have too low an income to qualify for a home loan, but too high an income to qualify for a full subsidy.

Only people who have never been assisted by the state can apply.
